Josh McPake is reportedly now set to leave Glasgow Rangers on loan 'this week', with as many as five clubs thought to be 'chasing' his signature.

The Lowdown: Not settled...

McPake has never really managed to settle in at Ibrox, as he has had five loan spells already away from the club.

The Scotsman has only ever made one senior appearance for the Gers, and could now be set for yet another loan move away.

The Latest: Five-club chase

Taking to Twitter, journalist Pete O'Rourke has revealed that McPake is now set to complete another loan move away from the Light Blues 'this week', with Hartlepool United, Stevenage, Crawley Town, Queens Park and Dundee all 'chasing' his signature:

"Rangers attacker Josh McPake is set to complete a loan move away from Ibrox this week with Hartlepool United, Stevenage, Crawley Town, Queens Park and Dundee all chasing his signature."

The Verdict: Does he have a future?

It is unclear whether McPake has a future at the Teddy Bears under Giovanni van Bronckhorst, given that they are keen to loan him out again.

Former Morecambe manager Stephen Robinson, of whom McPake has previously been on loan too, dubbed him a 'really exciting' player last July, and claimed that he is 'very highly' regarded at Rangers.

They did give him a new deal just last year, so perhaps the 20-year-old still has a long-term future at Ibrox, but just does not fit into van Bronckhorst's plans for next season.
