Glasgow Rangers are reportedly fighting their Old Firm rivals to bring exciting teenager Luca Fletcher to Ibrox this summer.

The Lowdown: Title race on

The title race is still on in the Scottish Premiership, with both Glasgow clubs winning their respective games to keep the gap at nine points.

Rangers will feel as if they can still overtake their bitter rivals, but will need Celtic to start dropping points soon in order to keep their hopes up.

The Latest: Fletcher interest

As per Football Insider, Rangers and Celtic are set to battle it out to sign 15-year-old talent Fletcher, who is currently on the books of English Championship side Reading.

They are both thought to be weighing up a move for him, with Premier League West Ham United also interested in his signature.

Fletcher is described as an 'exciting teenager' in the report, and has 'impressed' for England U16s and was part of the Young Lions squad that won a recent development tournament in Cyprus, scoring in a 3-0 win over Scotland in February.

He also notched up three strikes against Turkey’s U16 side in the space of three days across two matches in December, and can play on both wings as well as up top.

The Verdict: Who will win?

Celtic may feel that they have the upper hand over Rangers given their league position, but the Gers will also be confident that they can land Fletcher.

Leon King, Alex Lowry and Adam Devine are among the young stars to come through the ranks at Ibrox in recent years, and Fletcher could be another to eventually make his mark under Michael Beale.

However, with interest from the Premier League as well, it will not be easy for either to get this deal done.
