Many Glasgow Rangers fans were fuming following their Scottish Premiership match against Aberdeen – despite Steven Gerrard’s picking up the three points.
The club tweeted out on their official channels about a “penalty shout” when Kemar Roofe was scythed down by a lunging challenge from Funso Ojo, and it’s fair to say it was met with quite a response from the Ibrox faithful.
Ally McCoist, who was commentating on the match on Sky Sports, believed that the Gers should have been awarded the decision by referee Nick Walsh, as he said it was a ‘definite’ penalty.
Supporters of the club flocked to Twitter to rant about the poor officiating, with one calling it ‘disgraceful’. Gerrard will be happy that his side managed to pick up the victory in what was a fantastic performance, as it means they move eleven points clear of their Old Firm rivals Celtic who are in second place.
Roofe, who should have been awarded the penalty, managed to score ten minutes after the tackle, so he will feel like he was rightfully rewarded.
With such a lead in the league and the Gers on very good form, supporters should feel very excited about their chances of winning the SPFL this campaign.

The type of decision a ref should be explaining after the match. Disgraceful officiating to not give a penalty for that.
