Rangers: Four new signings could arrive in January

Glasgow Rangers manager Michael Beale could bring in as many as four new signings during the January window, journalist Jordan Campbell has claimed.
The Lowdown: Beale on the lookout for signings
The Gers are still fighting for Scottish Premiership glory this season, sitting nine points behind Celtic but not yet giving up hope.
For that to happen, however, a number of new faces will need to arrive before the end of this month, in order for Beale to improve the quality and depth within his squad.
Rangers have been linked with numerous players of late, with Todd Cantwell looking like a primary target, and Campbell has given a promising update.
The Latest: Exciting update emerges
Taking to Twitter, Campbell said that the Gers could sign four players in January:
“Beale stresses that he’s pleased with progress. Could be up to four players coming in depending on talks.”
The Verdict: Could be a pivotal month
If this comes to fruition and a new quarter of players arrive at Ibrox, Rangers supporters have every right to feel positive about the future under Beale.
In truth, it would take a mammoth effort to catch Celtic now, but there is still domestic silverware on offer, and talented new signings would enhance their hopes of silverware greatly.
Beale needs time to get his ideas across and to sign the players who are right for his system, but the Gers do feel like they are heading in the right direction.
