Glasgow Rangers target Patrik Hrosovsky was in top form from the bench for Slovakia against Northern Ireland on Thursday.
Slovakia made hard work of their match against Northern Ireland – they needed extra-time before winning 2-1. The victory, though, sees them book their place at Euro 2020, where they will play Poland, Spain and Sweden in Group E.
Hrosovsky was introduced in the 65th minute, and he impressed during his time on the pitch. He completed 92% of his passes, and also completed both of his attempted dribbles on his way to a 7.1 SofaScore match rating.
In the end, Steven Gerrard brought in the midfielder he had been looking for in Bongani Zungu, effectively ending the pursuit Hrosovsky at least until January. With his current club Genk, though, the 28-year-old has impressed so far this campaign, scoring once and providing an assist in seven appearances.
Would you like to sign Hrosovsky?
The Gers were linked with a move for his services during the summer transfer window, with the Belgian outfit reportedly looking for €4m (£3.6m). Given displays like this, it is fair to say that kind of money would be a safe investment. It remains to be seen whether there is further interest in Hrosovsky during the upcoming window.
In other news, Rangers fans are baffled by this latest Gers development.
