Glasgow Rangers fans are livid after Barry Ferguson suggested the Gers could sell midfielder Glen Kamara for just £7m.
After a hugely successful season that saw the Gers win the Premiership for the first time in 10 years without losing a single game in the competition (thefishy.co.uk), a number of their players are attracting interest from outside of Scotland, and one of those is Finland international Kamara (Football Insider).
The 25-year-old was a key player for the Gers last season in the middle of the park, both in the league and in the Europa League, while he also started all three games for his country at Euro 2020 (Transfermarkt). The Athletic said last year he was valued at £10m (although Transfermarkt say he is worth £5.4m), but in his column for The Daily Record, Ferguson said the Gers would struggle to knock back an offer of £7m.
Will Glen Kamara be at Rangers next season?
The news was shared on Twitter, and it attracted plenty of attention from the supporters. They took to the social media platform to share their thoughts.
Let’s see what the fans had to say about the observation from Ferguson below
“Sorry but Barry is talking rubbish.”
“Barry Ferguson clearly stuck in the dark ages.”
“Don’t think Ferguson is up to date on modern prices. Miles off it”
“That’s like something a Celtic man would say to deliberately wind you up, get in the bin”
“For a fan Barry sure sticks the boot into us. £7m wouldn’t even start negotiations”
“I love Barry but sometime in wonder what he’s thinking.”
In other news, Rangers fans were delighted by news on this 4-goal man.
