Glasgow Rangers have confirmed that Kai Kennedy has signed a new contract at the club.
For a while, it looked as if the teenager would be leaving Ibrox – talks had broken down over a new contract, and he was even linked with a move to Manchester City or Bayern Munich. However, he joined Inverness earlier this season and impressed out on loan, scoring once and providing an assist in 10 matches.
Now, he has put pen to paper on a deal that will keep him at Ibrox until 2023. He will not be appearing for the 54-time Scottish champions just yet – he has now joined Raith Rovers on loan until the end of the season – but this new contract indicates that he is a big part of the club’s plans moving forward.
