Glasgow Rangers fans are far from happy with a statement made by their club following Kemar Roofe’s two-game ban from the SFA.
Roofe was lucky not to be sent off for a poor tackle on Murray Davidson of St. Johnstone, instead receiving a yellow card from the referee. However, although that booking indicated that the incident had been seen, Roofe has still received a retrospective ban for the tackle and will now miss the next two matches (BT).
The Gers had called for consistency in regards to such decisions when Alfredo Morelos was suspended for three games for a similar challenge (The Daily Record). After this latest call from the Scottish FA, they reiterated their stance on the matter.
Are you happy with this statement?
This did not go down well with the Gers fans at all – they expected a far stronger take from their club. The statement was shared on the Ibrox outfit’s Twitter account, and the fans took to the social media platform to share their thoughts.
Let’s see what the fans had to say about the Rangers statement below
“Extremely weak. They will continue to victimise Rangers. Their agenda is clear, their bias is clear. Another dive from a Celtic player, another Celtic penalty.”
“So what you gonna do about it then…its beyond a joke!!! You need to stand up for our club and players!!!!”
“Too soft again. Walking all over us.”
“Weak statement imo”
“Is that it? Pathetic!”
“Give us examples then. Useless statement without them.”
