Rangers: Fans hammer Leon Balogun

For the first time this season, Glasgow Rangers tasted defeat on Wednesday night as they were beaten 3-2 by St. Mirren in the Scottish League Cup, and the supporters were far from happy with Leon Balogun.
The Gers actually took the lead through Connor Goldson, but a brace from Jamie McGrath turned things around. Steven Davis did equalise late on, but Conor McCarthy was on hand to give the underdogs the victory. The loss ends the Gers’ 27-game unbeaten run, and it means that this is one trophy they cannot win this season.
Balogun, in particular, struggled in this clash. He often looked suspect defensively, with him sometimes inviting pressure from the opponents, and this is a performance he will likely want to forget.
Who would you rather start alongside Connor Goldson?
Leon Balogun

Filip Helander

The fans took to social media platform Twitter to share their thoughts on the Nigeria international’s showing.

Leon balogun limping off like a coward sums up the loser mentality of this squad.

Hopefully that settles the Centre half debate, Balogun absolutely miles off it

Borna and Helander for me. How many times we seen balls go past Balogun lately. Shambles.
