Glasgow Rangers winger Ryan Kent has said that it is "nice" to be linked to other clubs, but he is currently only focused on the Gers.

Kent discusses transfer interest

Kent has been heavily linked with a move to Leeds since last year, when the Whites had a £10m bid rejected for him (RTE).

Speaking to Sky Sports ahead of Rangers' Old Firm clash at the weekend, Kent revealed that he has enjoyed being linked to big clubs, but insisted that at the moment he is only concentrating on the 55-time Scottish champions. He said:

"It's just about playing in the now.

"It's nice to be linked with other big clubs, but you've got to understand your duty to where you are.

"As long as I'm at Rangers, I'll give 100 per cent to the club.

"I love this place, it's done so much for me, so as long as I'm here, my mind is solely focused on Rangers."

Speculation to continue

Given his performances over this campaign, the speculation is unlikely to go away. So far this term, he has managed 12 goals and 13 assists (Transfermarkt), with his displays helping the Gers to get their hands on the Premiership title - he has played a big role in that success.

As such, that will likely only lead to more interest from other clubs - Leeds are said to be in pursuit once more (The Scottish Sun). The prospect of a Champions League run may convince the £7.2m-valued former Liverpool man (Transfermarkt) to stay put for now, but in the long run it seems likely he will return south of the border. Steven Gerrard and co should enjoy him while they can.
