Glasgow Rangers were involved in a Europa League classic on Thursday against Royal Antwerp, but the fans were far from happy with the performance of Scott Arfield.

It was a clash that had absolutely everything. The Gers came from a goal down twice to prevail 4-3, picking up two penalties along the way as Antwerp player Abdoulaye Seck received a red card late in the second-half. The Ibrox outfit also had to deal with two big injuries - one to captain James Tavernier and another to Kemar Roofe.

Arfield made his first start for the 54-time Scottish champions since December 26th (Transfermarkt), and his lack of match-fitness showed. He was often unable to keep up with the pace of the game, and it was no surprise to see him taken off with quarter of an hour left.

The Gers fans were disappointed with his showing, and they took to social media platform Twitter to share their thoughts.
