Glasgow Rangers fans are delighted by the news that they have drawn Slavia Prague in the Europa League round of 16.
The Gers progressed to the next stage of the competition after beating Royal Antwerp 9-5 on aggregate. They will now face the Czech champions, who defeated Leicester City 2-0 to make it through. Rangers will first play away from home before hosting their opponents at Ibrox (BBC).
While Slavia are no fools, Steven Gerrard and co will no doubt be pleased to avoid big hitters such as AC Milan, Manchester United, Arsenal, Tottenham and Roma. They will fancy their chances of reaching the quarter-finals as a result.

“You have to be a good team to have made it to this stage but this was probably the best draw we could have got”
“I’m happy with that, will be a tough game after Slavia Prague knocked out Leicester in the last round but definitely qualifiable. Man Utd v AC Milan is a tasty draw, opens up a pathway for us to go further with at least one of the so-called big teams going out.”
