Many Rangers fans have been reacting to the news that Glenn Middleton is leaving the club on loan for the remainder of the 2020/21 campaign.
This comes after the 21-year-old has not played a very significant role for the Gers this season, with Middleton having made just one appearance for Steven Gerrard’s side in all competitions this term. He will now spend the rest of the season on loan at St. Johnstone.
So, how have these Rangers fans been reacting to this news?
Plenty of the Rangers fans who have been reacting to this news on Middleton via Twitter have cast some doubt over the likelihood that the winger has got a future at Ibrox.
Some Gers supporters shared that they haven’t been impressed by the quality that Middleton has shown since Rangers signed him from Norwich City back in January 2018 and some fans of the Glasgow club indicated that they think he needs to be moved on permanently in the summer.
“Sad to say but I think the end is near for Glenn at Rangers”
“Feel he may have missed the boat for us, which is a shame as he looked promising. Hopefully, like you say, the loan works out for home and he gives the manager something to think about.”
“Good luck! A player we need to move on in the summer”
“One trick pony”
“Wish the wee man well. Did very well when he first came onto the scene. Our levels have increased a lot since then and Middleton loans so far haven’t been great. Hope it works out.”
“He’s nowhere near the level required, he should be moved on this summer”
