Journalist Craig Vickers has waxed lyrical over rumoured Rangers transfer target Malik Tillman when analysing the midfielder's "very, very good technique".

The Lowdown: Tillman a Rangers target

Giovanni van Bronckhorst faces a key summer in the transfer market as he looks to close the gap on rivals Celtic after falling short in a tight Scottish Premiership title battle.

Someone who has been linked with bolstering Rangers' options going into the new campaign is Tillman, who has caught the eye with his performances for Bayern Munich.

The 20-year-old has scored 15 goals in just 29 appearances for the Bundesliga giants' Under-19s side, as well as playing seven times for their world-renowned first team.

The Latest: Vickers waxes lyrical

Taking to Twitter on Tuesday, Vickers plugged his scouting report for Tillman for Rangers Review, sharing a glowing quote on the attacking midfielder's quality:

"He's a beast physically. He has very, very good technique. He's difficult to nudge off the ball."

Expanding in his article, the journalist goes as far as to liken the youngster to Paul Pogba, such is his unique combination of physical prowess and technical ability.

The Verdict: Ideal summer signing

When any player from a club of Bayern's stature is linked with a move to Rangers there is understandable reason to be excited, and this is no different.

Tillman could be a great addition alongside the Rabbi Matondo, who was confirmed as the next young talent through the doors on Tuesday. with three goals in just four caps for Germany's Under-21s further proof of how prolific he is from an attacking midfield role.

The firepower that he would add to the squad could be priceless - James Tavernier and Alfredo Morelos led the way with 16 goals last season, so adding a Joe Aribo-esque goal threat from the centre of the park is surely the next big priority this summer.
