Many Rangers fans have been buzzing on Twitter after it was announced that their club has signed Aberdeen winger Scott Wright on a pre-contract agreement, with his deal with the Dons expiring at the end of the season.
This comes after Aberdeen boss Derek McInnes confirmed Rangers boss Steven Gerrard’s interest in signing the 23-year-old on a pre-contract earlier this month.
Now, the transfer is done and it seems as though Wright is set to move to Ibrox for the 2021/22 campaign.
So, how have these Rangers fans reacted to this news?
Many Rangers fans have been sharing excitement over this announcement on Twitter, with one particular fan of the Glasgow club indicating that they think the 23-year-old could help the Gers to win what would be a 56th Scottish top-flight title next season, assuming they see out the current campaign – with the Gers leading their Old Firm rivals by 23 points in the league at present – to claim the Premiership crown for the 55th time this term.
“56 is coming”
“Absolutely lovely stuff”
“Upgrade on Barker”
“Welcome Ryan Jack 2.0”
“Looks an exciting player and adds good cover for what we have already.”
Would Wright start for Rangers?
