Scottish football journalist Mark Hendry has now noticed a potential big boost for Glasgow Rangers before their game at Ibrox tonight.

The Lowdown: Team news

Speaking in his pre-game press conference ahead of the match, Giovanni van Bronckhorst was unsure whether Aaron Ramsey or Kemar Roofe will make the squad, as they still had one more training session to go.

It looks as if they have now had that session, with the Dutch manager set to finalise his squad for the second leg of their UEFA Europa League semi-final at home to RB Leipzig.

The Latest: Ramsey spotted

Writing in his latest piece for Football Scotland, Hendry spotted Ramsey in their final training session, while Roofe was nowhere to be seen.

This suggests that while the latter may not make the squad, Ramsey could well feature, having trained as normal with the rest of the team.

The Verdict: Big boost

It would certainly be a big boost if Ramsey is now able to make the squad after his injury problems.

He has the experience of playing in big European football games with both Arsenal and Juventus, and so could help settle the rest of the side as they aim to overturn a 1-0 deficit.

Nonetheless, the Wales international has ranked highly among his teammates in terms of average shots and key passes per match in the competition so far, and has already shown his credentials with two goals in the Scottish Premiership during his loan spell (WhoScored).

Ramsey would give van Bronckhorst another handy squad option, even if he has to start from the bench.
