Glasgow Rangers and Giovanni van Bronckhorst have been dealt an injury blow before their Scottish Premiership game at Ibrox this afternoon.

The Lowdown: Domestic duties

After the excitement of finding out who the Gers are going to play in the UEFA Champions League group stages, all of the focus will now be trying to get all three points at home to Ross County.

The Gers are already two points behind bitter rivals Celtic in the SPFL table after dropping their first points of the season in the 2-2 draw away at Hibernian last weekend, and so will not want to make another slip-up.

The Latest: Kamara injury

Speaking to the media in his pre-game press conference ahead of the match, Van Bronckhorst has revealed that as well as Alex Lowry, who was subject to a horrific challenge while playing for Rangers B on Tuesday night, Kamara has also picked up an injury and 'will not be in the squad' against Ross County:

"Lowry will be some weeks out with injury. Kamara had some problems with his knee and will not be in the squad tomorrow."

The Verdict: Big blow

Of course, it is a big blow to lose Kamara as well as Lowry to injury.

The Finland international racked up a mammoth 52 games in total across all competitions last season, scoring four goals and making a further five assists from the middle of the park (Transfermarkt), proving crucial to GvB's plans.

The Light Blues will be hoping that his injury is not serious, with a European campaign set to make an already hectic fixture schedule even more congested.
