Glasgow Rangers journalist Joshua Barrie spotted Giovanni van Bronckhorst 'visibly angry' at Alfredo Morelos after giving up possession in the second half.

The Lowdown: More points dropped

After drawing 1-1 at home to Livingston and losing 2-1 away at St Johnstone in their past four games in the Premiership, the Ibrox outfit would not have wanted to drop more points against St Mirren at lunchtime.

That is exactly what happened, though, as their 1-1 draw piled more pressure on Van Bronckhorst going into the break for the World Cup in Qatar.

The Latest: Van Bronckhorst 'angry' at Morelos

Taking to Twitter, Barrie spotted Van Bronckhorst looking 'visibly angry' at Morelos as the Rangers striker surrendered possession too cheaply in the second half.

He tweeted: "Van Bronckhorst turned and told Robbie Ure to warm up after Morelos put that ball out of play. Visibly angry at the striker surrendering possession."

The Verdict: Chance missed

With Antonio Colak ruled out injured today and Kemar Roofe already absent, this was a big opportunity for Morelos to impress.

The 26-year-old did not take his chance, only winning one of his individual duels, while he also failed to record a single shot on target or successful dribble and gave the ball away 13 times, the fifth-most out of any of his team-mates (SofaScore).

Morelos let Van Bronckhorst down with his performance today, and the result will certainly leave a bad taste in the mouth around Ibrox going into the mid-season break.
