Glasgow Rangers: These ‘Gers fans feel that one position still needs to be strengthened in Steven Gerrard’s squad - Rangers Transfer Rumours

Glasgow Rangers had a productive Tuesday in the transfer market, announcing the signings of attacking duo Kemar Roofe from Anderlecht and Cedric Itten from St Gallen.

That brings the number of new faces at Ibrox this summer to five, not including the permanent deals that were secured for Jermain Defoe and Ianis Hagi, and journalist Andrew Dickson duly reflected positively on the Light Blues’ summer transfer business on Twitter (via @mrandrewdickson).

He asked followers if there is anything that Steven Gerrard still needs in the transfer window, which prompted many ‘Gers fans to call for the manager to add at least one midfielder before the deadline.

That is despite Gerrard seemingly having plenty of midfield options to call upon, with Glen Kamara and Ross McCrorie as midfield anchors, Hagi capable of playing in a number 10 role and Steven Davis, Ryan Jack, Joe Aribo, Scott Arfield and Greg Docherty all operating from the middle of the park. However, with one ‘Gers supporter feeling that they still “lack energy” in central midfield, he along with other members of the Ibrox faithful still want this position to be addressed in the remaining weeks of the transfer window:

‘Gers fans, are you happy with the club’s transfer business so far this summer? Do you expect many more signings to be made? Comment below with your views!
