Rangers are set to complete the signing of Blackpool striker Tony Weston, @TheAthleticUK understands.

As per The Athletic, the teenager is from Huyton, the neighbourhood of Liverpool in which Ibrox manager Steven Gerrard grew up. Indeed, Weston lives only four doors away from the Gerrard family home.
The youngster scored 14 goals for Blackpool’s youth team last season and was given a first team debut in an FA Cup clash against Maidstone eight months ago, shortly after being called up to the senior squad by then-manager Simon Grayson. [via The Athletic]
Are you excited by the signing of Tony Weston?
These ‘Gers fans on Twitter had mixed reactions to the impending signing of the 16-year-old – some are excited about the apparent precocity of his talent while others view it as an inadequate method of trying to replace the potentially exit-bound Morelos:
A striker, you say?
Enjoy Aberdeen on Saturday, son. https://t.co/PKThMT3LXd
