As per Area Napoli, Carlo Ancelotti is focusing on signing Glasgow Rangers’ Alfredo Morelos this summer.
Morelos’ future remains up in the air, and plenty of sides have been linked with a move for the striker, including the likes of Borussia Dortmund and Atletico Madrid.
Now, Everton’s strong interest has been revealed, with this report saying Ancelotti is “focused” on taking Morelos to Goodison Park.
Ancelotti is one of the greatest managers to ever grace the sport, with him having won four league titles and the Champions League on three separate occasions – having managed the likes of Andriy Shevchenko and Didier Drogba at their best, he knows exactly what a top striker looks like.
Will Morelos be at Rangers next season?
With the investment of Farhad Moshiri, the Toffees have more than enough funds to make moves for the likes of Morelos, who currently has a Transfermarkt value of £10.8m. Steven Gerrard would be no doubt disappointed to see him depart, especially as he begins his quest for a first piece of silverware at Ibrox next season, but he will be aware of how difficult it is to keep hold of top quality players – Morelos will leave at some point, and if Ancelotti is so desperate to sign him, then the Gers will have little choice but to listen.
