According to Het Laatste Nieuws, Glasgow Rangers have been put off making a move for Terem Moffi after KV Kortrijk set his price tag at €5m (£4.6m).
The ‘Gers had previously been linked with a move for the 21-year-old, with them even said to have made contact with the player’s representatives.
However, it has now been reported that the Belgian outfit are looking for €5m (£4.6m) for his services, which has deterred the Ibrox outfit from making a more concrete move.
Moffi only completed a move to Belgium in January of this year, joining from Lithuanian side FK Riteriai for £135,000, but it is fair to say he has done well over the last few months.
He managed 20 goals in 31 matches for his previous club before grabbing four in nine for his current side before the Belgian campaign was brought to a premature close due to the global pandemic – that means he has 24 goals in his last 40 matches.
Would you like to sign Moffi?
However, €5m (£4.6m) is not an inconsiderable fee, and it is hard to see how Kortrijk could demand such a sum. Unless the ‘Gers and Ross Wilson can negotiate a lower price, it looks like Moffi won’t be moving to Ibrox any time soon.
