The Daily Mail (via The Scottish Sun) are reporting that Lille are set to make a £15m offer for Glasgow Rangers striker Alfredo Morelos.
Now, it is said that Les Dogues are in pursuit after they balked at Genk’s £35m asking price for Jonathan David, whilst they also had a bid of £28m turned down for Patson Daka. They are believed to be preparing an offer of £15m for Morelos.
The speculation surrounding the future of the 24-year-old will not go away any time soon. Steven Gerrard has already refused to confirm that Morelos will still be at the club come the end of the transfer window, and his record of 77 goals in 137 games is only going to attract attention from clubs across the continent.
Will Morelos be at Rangers next season?
The Gers are said to value the former HJK Helsinki forward at £20m, so there could be some haggling, but as Victor Osimhen is close to completing a €60m (£54.6m) move to Napoli, the French outfit should have plenty of money to spend.
At this point, it looks as though it will be a real struggle for the Gers to hold on to their star man.
