Glasgow Rangers are still eyeing Everton midfielder Muhamed Besic, and they have officially registered their interest in the Bosnia and Herzegovina international, according to The Liverpool Echo.
Steven Gerrard remains on the look-out for another midfielder, and Besic appears to be on the list of players he is looking at.
The 28-year-old has entered the final year of his contract at Goodison Park, and he has been made available for a transfer ahead of the deadline.
The midfielder is clearly not a part of Carlo Ancelotti’s plans on Merseyside, with him yet to play a minute of football in the seven games in which the Toffees have been involved in so far this term. Last season, he was on loan at Sheffield United, and even then he only appeared 13 times in all competitions.

Having said that, Besic is obviously a talented player. He has 45 caps for his country, appearing at the 2014 World Cup, whilst former manager Roberto Martinez even said he could become a Goodison legend early on in his Everton career. Currently valued at £2.16m by Transfermarkt, it remains to be seen whether the Gers can get a deal sorted for Besic.
