As per Voetbal24, Anderlecht are considering selling Glasgow Rangers target Kemar Roofe.
The Gers have been linked with a move for the former Leeds United striker.
Now, it is being reported that the Belgian outfit could consider selling the 27-year-old, with a potential price tag of €6m (£5.5m). Steven Gerrard is said to want to complete a transfer immediately and is really keen to take him to Ibrox.
Roofe has only been at Anderlecht for a year after signing for them last summer. He has a decent record of seven goals in 16 games in all competitions so far, but injuries have been an issue, and his sale could raise funds for the Belgian outfit to reinvest.
Would you like to sign Kemar Roofe?
For Gerrard, with Alfredo Morelos potentially on the move following intense speculation about his future, a new striker is paramount, and Roofe could be a very astute signing. He impressed with the Whites before departing, scoring 14 goals in 32 Championship games during the 2018/19 season, for example.
A fee of £5.5m would be not be insignificant, and it remains to be seen whether Gerrard and Ross Wilson would be willing to part with such a sum. However, this at least is an indication that a deal could be struck.
