As per The Sheffield Star, no approach has yet been made for Glasgow Rangers target John Lundstram.
Blades boss Chris Wilder is hoping he stays at Bramall Lane, but if he does not, the Ibrox outfit are joined by West Ham United and Brighton and Hove Albion in their interest. As of yet, no bid has been made.
Lundstram was an important player for the Yorkshire outfit last term, making 34 appearances in the Premier League alone, whilst he also scored five goals and created a further three. At 26, he is also entering his prime, and would likely be a fantastic addition to Steven Gerrard’s squad.
Would you like to sign Lundstram?
Any potential transfer fee could be an issue. He is currently valued at £7.2m by Transfermarkt and, whilst the remaining length of his contract could see any potential price drop, his signature would likely require a solid seven-figure fee. Should the Gers sell Alfredo Morelos and Ryan Kent, though – both have been the subject of intense interest – they will have money to burn. Whether Gerrard would like to be in that situation, however, is another matter.
