According to reports from Belgium, Glasgow Rangers summer transfer target, Fashion Sakala, is keen on making a move to Ibrox this summer.

The report by Belgian outlet Voetbal Nieuws (via the Daily Record) claims that both Rangers and LOSC Lille are keeping tabs on the KV Oostende centre-forward ahead of the summer transfer window.

However, it is then claimed that, despite the fact Lille currently top the Ligue 1 table, Sakala would actually rather a move to Ibrox than a switch to France upon the expiry of his contract with the Jupiler Pro League side at the end of the season.

Transfer Tavern Take

So far this season, Sakala has impressed over his 28 league appearances for Alexander Blessin's side, with the 24-year-old scoring 13 goals and providing two assists for Oostende, as well as averaging a SofaScore match rating of 6.83 - ranking him as the club's ninth-best performer in the Belgian top flight.

As such, it is unsurprising why Gerrard is reported to be keen on adding the £3,300-per-week forward to his attacking arsenal this summer, and, with the news that the striker would favour a move to Ibrox over other interested parties, perhaps this is a deal we could see being completed in the not so distant future.
