The report in question concentrated on the Gers’ interest in Union Berlin forward Taiwo Awoniyi.
However, towards the end of the piece, the Ibrox outfit’s pursuit of Gbadamosi was also mentioned. They are not the only club eyeing the 22-year-old, with their fierce city rivals Celtic also looking at him.
Unknown quantity
Gbadamosi is a completely unknown quantity – currently playing in the Nigerian league, there is little in-depth information on him, and simply no statistics available on his current form. He has played in Europe before, appearing for Turkish side Kepez Belediyespor before returning to his homeland.
Would you like to sign Gbadamosi?
Yes

No

SCORENigeria, a website that covers Nigerian football in detail, called him a goalscoring defensive midfielder towards the end of 2019. Given the lack of knowledge about his career to date, and the league he is currently playing in, Gbadamosi would surely not set the 54-time Scottish champions back a huge amount. As an unknown quantity, the midfielder could be an out-of-the-box signing for Steven Gerrard, Ross Wilson and co.
It remains to be seen where he eventually ends up in the coming weeks and months or if he is even good enough to play for the Gers.
In other news, Rangers fans slam this rival’s comments.
