According to Voetbal24, Glasgow Rangers are plotting a significant bid for Anderlecht winger Francis Amuzu.
Gers want Amuzu
The Gers were reportedly interested in signing the winger last summer, but he ended up staying in Belgium.
Now though, it looks like Ross Wilson and co are in pursuit once again. The report even says that they could make an offer that ‘cannot be refused’.
Plenty of promise
Belgium U21 international Amuzu has been a regular for Anderlecht across each of the last three seasons. So far this campaign, he has played 17 times in the Jupiler League, scoring once and providing one assist in the process (Transfermarkt). All in all, he has six goals for the senior side, as well as seven assists.
Anderlecht are well-known for their ability to churn out top talent – the likes of Romelu Lukaku, Vincent Kompany and Youri Tielemans have all come through the club’s youth system. That is not to say that every one of the side’s youngsters will make the grade, but it does at least mean they have had a top footballing education.
Would you like to sign Francis Amuzu?
There is no indication thus far as to how much the Gers would be prepared to pay, but Amuzu is currently valued at £2.88m (Transfermarkt). Given they are said to be prepared to offer a considerable bid, they could well go above that number to take him to Ibrox.
In other news, Rangers fans are livid at this transfer news.
