According to The Athletic, Glasgow Rangers are interested in bringing rising star Kwadwo Baah to Ibrox.
Gers eye Baah
18-year-old Baah’s contract at Rochdale runs out at the end of the season (Transfermarkt), but he could seal a move abroad on February 2nd.
There are a number of clubs interested in signing the youngster, including Champions League duo Bayern Munich and Juventus. Rochdale are willing to sell him before the end of the transfer window to avoid losing him for nothing.
Rochdale are currently struggling at the wrong end of the table, but Baah has done all he can to drag them out of their troubles. In 13 League One appearances so far this campaign, he has three goals and two assists, and he has also shown versatility by being able to perform on both the left and right wings.
Would you like to sign Baah?
When he signed his first professional contract last March aged 17, Dale manager Brian Barry-Murphy labelled him “exceptional” (footballghana.com), and his performances this term have backed up that claim.
Interest from Bayern and Juve will be hard for the Gers to compete with, no doubt, but they could realistically offer him a better chance of first-team football. Given he could sign for free for either of those two sides in a few days, Ross Wilson and co will need to move quickly if they want to sign the German-born ace.
In other news, Rangers fans slam this pundit’s comments.
