Rangers: Siriki Dembele hands in transfer request

According to journalist Tom Barclay, Glasgow Rangers target Siriki Dembele has handed in a transfer request at current club Peterborough United.

The Gers have been linked with a move for the 24-year-old, who has five goals and five assists so far this campaign in League One.
Now, it has been revealed that the forward has asked to leave Posh. The latter’s co-owner, Darragh MacAnthony, has admitted that the request has come as a shock to the club.
Interesting option
Dembele is attracting a lot of interest around the UK at the moment – Newcastle, Fulham, Celtic, Nottingham Forest and Stoke City have all been mentioned as potential suitors. With Peterborough reportedly looking for a fee of around £2m for the Scotland citizen, he could well represent a bargain for the Gers.

Called ‘outstanding’ by Peterborough manager Darren Ferguson, Dembele is clearly eager to move on from this current employers. Given the Premier League interest in his services, the Ibrox outfit would face a fight to convince him they are the right choice for his future development.
