This is a huge season for Steven Gerrard, and whilst the League Cup may not be his biggest priority, especially given that the Gers are top of the Premiership by [nine](https://www.bbc.com/sport/football/scottish-premiership/table) points and also lead their Europa League group with Benfica, they cannot afford to throw away a solid chance of silverware when they have not lifted a major trophy since 2011.

Falkirk are currently in the Scottish third tier. Whilst there are in second place in the league and unbeaten after [four](https://www.bbc.com/sport/football/scottish-league-one/table) games, it seems the Gers fans are supremely confident that they will not cause them any problems. They have taken to Twitter to share their delight at the draw.
