# Rangers: Alfredo Morelos’ attitude has changed, claims Hutton

**Alan Hutton has suggested that Glasgow Rangers striker Alfredo Morelos’ attitude has changed as he knows no-one will look to sign him if he isn’t performing at Ibrox.**

### **Morelos has changed outlook**

£13.5m-valued Morelos ([Transfermarkt](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/alfredo-morelos/marktwertverlauf/spieler/338962)) scored both of the Gers’ goal in their 2-1 win over Aberdeen last weekend. However, that was just his [second and third](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/alfredo-morelos/leistungsdatendetails/spieler/338962/plus/0?saison=2020&verein=&liga=&wettbewerb=&pos=&trainer_id=) league goals in the last 12 games.

[Speaking to Football Insider](https://www.footballinsider247.com/you-wont-be-playing-at-rangers-exclusive-pundit-on-body-language-of-ibrox-star/), Hutton believes that the Colombia international’s attitude has improved as he knows him sulking helps no-one. The former Gers defender said:

> *“I think so, his whole demeanour’s different, his body language has changed.*
>
> *“It could be anything, whether somebody has said to him: ‘Look, if you don’t up your game, one, you won’t be playing at Rangers, and two, you won’t get a move,’ so you’re not really helping anybody in the situation you’re in.*
>
> *“So maybe something needed to change and it’s a shame to say that about a player because you just expect everybody turn up and give 100 per cent always, but it’s been a difficult season for him.*
>
> *“It’s just good to see him come out of that now, I was going to say playing with a smile on his face but he never really does that!*
>
> *“There’s so much competition now for places that you’re going to have to be on top of your game if you want to stay in the team.”*

### **Important**

The chances are, Morelos will not be at Ibrox for too much longer. He was heavily linked with a move away from the 54-time Scottish champions last summer – Lille even had a £16m bid rejected for him (talkSPORT [via The Daily Record](https://www.dailyrecord.co.uk/sport/football/football-transfer-news/alfredo-morelos-lille-latest-club-22551554)) – and he has already admitted his desire to play in a more prestigious league ([The Scottish Sun](https://www.thescottishsun.co.uk/sport/football/5859535/rangers-alfredo-morelos-lille-competitive-league/)).

If he isn’t doing the business for the Gers in the Premiership which, with all due respect, is significantly lower in quality than Europe’s top-five leagues, then why would anyone look to invest an eight-figure fee in his services? The brace against the Dons was a start – for both his current club and his future, he must put in these kind of performances on a regular basis.
