# Rangers: Fans hammer James Tavernier

**Glasgow Rangers fans are far from happy with James Tavernier after he missed a penalty to put the Gers 2-0 ahead against Ross County.**

Tavernier is the Ibrox outfit’s main penalty-taker, and he is generally solid in that role. However, he missed from the spot during the Gers’ 2-1 win over Aberdeen, and he has now followed that up with another failure. Fortunately, the 54-time Scottish champions are still in front at the break.

The Gers currently lead the table by 20 points, while a win will put them 23 clear ([BBC](https://www.bbc.com/sport/football/scottish-premiership/table)). They may be in a comfortable position, but the last thing Steven Gerrard will want is for his side to be complacent as they look to win a first title in 10 years.

The fans were far from happy with Tavernier, and they took to social media platform Twitter to share their thoughts during the first half of Saturday’s match.
