# Rangers: Fans livid at Scottish League Cup news

**Glasgow Rangers fans are livid after it was revealed Premier Sports will be the title sponsor of the Scottish League Cup until the end of the 2026/27 season, and will also be the exclusive broadcaster of the competition.**

The Gers cantered to the Premiership title this term – they remain unbeaten in that competition ([BBC](https://www.bbc.com/sport/football/scottish-premiership/table)) – but they were still unable to get their hands on one of the two domestic cup competitions as well. In the League Cup, they were beaten 3-2 by St. Mirren, which was their first defeat of the season ([Sky Sports](https://www.skysports.com/rangers-results)).

Some of their matches have been on Premier Sports this season, and the fans have been quick to [direct their criticism towards the broadcaster](https://www.footballtransfertavern.com/rangers-fc-news/rangers-gers-ibrox-steven-gerrard-stephen-craigan-cove-rangers-celtic-scottish-cup-kemar-roofe-nathan-patterson-jermain-defoe/), whether it be in regards to their commentators or kick-off times. Therefore, this news has not gone down well with the fans at all.

The update was [shared on Premier Sports’ official Twitter account](https://twitter.com/PremierSportsTV/status/1386983607353360385), and it attracted plenty of attention from the supporters. They took to the social media platform to share their thoughts.
