# Rangers: Fans love Malky Mackay news

**Glasgow Rangers fans have been reacting in their droves after it was revealed that Malky Mackay’s job at the SFA is under serious threat.**

The Ibrox outfit have had to put up with Mackay for four years since he took the job in 2016, moving back to his homeland after a controversial time in England – he was [sacked](https://www.bbc.com/sport/wales/25526438#:~:text=Malky%20Mackay%20has%20been%20sacked%20as%20Cardiff%20City%20manager%20by,the%20club%20and%20its%20fans.) as manager of Cardiff after he was revealed to have exchanged offensive tweets during his time at the club.

This year is a difficult one for all involved in football, especially north of the border. Even the sport’s governing body are encountering financial problems, and it seems that Mackay is [one of a number of employees who could be released from their duties](https://www.thescottishsun.co.uk/sport/football/6240051/sfa-jobs-losses-malky-mackay/?utm_medium=Social&utm_source=Twitter#Echobox=1604502975) at the authority.
