# Real Madrid: Fans react to Rodrygo’s perfect hat-trick in the Champions League

**Real Madrid made light work of their Champions League group stage clash with Galatasaray last night, thrashing the Turkish giants 6-0 at the Santiago Bernabeu.**

Madrid’s emphatic win sees the club retain pressure on group leaders [Paris Saint-Germain](https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/champions-league/table) – who edged past Club Brugge 1-0 in Group A’s other fixture last night.

The Parisians have a healthy [five-point](https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/champions-league/table) lead at the top of the group as things stand, though Madrid have that [same gap](https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/champions-league/table) on third-placed Brugge so look all but certainties for qualification to the knockout stages in early 2020.

The star of the show during Real’s rout over Gala last night was undoubtedly 18-year-old winger Rodrygo, who bagged himself a perfect hat-trick in what was only his [second start](https://www.transfermarkt.com/rodrygo/leistungsdaten/spieler/412363) for the club in the Champions League.

Rodrygo is starting to show exactly why Madrid paid [€45m](https://www.transfermarkt.com/rodrygo/profil/spieler/412363) (£38.8m) for him in the summer. Not only was the young Brazilian fantastic last night, but he also put in a stellar performance against Leganes in La Liga last Wednesday – [scoring](https://www.transfermarkt.com/rodrygo/leistungsdaten/spieler/412363) in a 5-0 win for Los Blancos.

Unsurprisingly, Rodrygo’s stunning hat-trick last night has excited the Madrid faithful, with many expressing their views on the exciting forward on Twitter:
