# Real Madrid: Fans show love for Gareth Bale as the Welshman recovers from injury

**Gareth Bale is currently ruled out with a calf injury and has missed Real Madrid’s two matches against RCD Mallorca and Galatasaray due to his recovery, per [Transfermarkt](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/gareth-bale/leistungsdaten/spieler/39381).**

The Wales international has [struggled with consistent injuries](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/gareth-bale/verletzungen/spieler/39381) during recent seasons, with it seemingly impossible for him to remain fit throughout the whole duration of a campaign.

However, Bale has still managed to find the net [twice](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/gareth-bale/leistungsdaten/spieler/39381), whilst also registering [two assists](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/gareth-bale/leistungsdaten/spieler/39381) for Los Blancos this season, which is more than can be said for the likes of Eden Hazard and Luka Jovic – who have so far struggled to find their feet at the Bernabeu following their respective summer moves from Chelsea and Eintracht Frankfurt.

Hazard has netted just [once](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/eden-hazard/leistungsdaten/spieler/50202) in his opening seven appearances for Madrid, while Jovic is [yet to open his account](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/luka-jovic/profil/spieler/257462) for the club in his opening nine games.

The lack of goalscorers in Real’s current starting XI means that Bale’s absence is a big miss for the club, with many supporters hoping that his latest injury setback doesn’t rule him out for too much longer:
