# Real Madrid ready to splash stunning £35m on shock Spurs raid

**The Tottenham fans in the Transfer Tavern have been somewhat accustomed to losing their best players to Real Madrid over the past few years.**

Upon the departures of Luka Modric and Gareth Bale, the usually lively tavern was a solemn place to White Hart Lane goers, though the mood around the club has changed in recent years.

With Mauricio Pochettino at the helm and a vibrant young squad closing the gap on arch-rivals Arsenal, things are on the up for Spurs.

However, when reading reports from [the Sun](https://www.thesun.co.uk/sport/1382757/real-madrid-eye-35million-raid-on-tottenham-for-goalkeeper-hugo-lloris/) strewn on the bar, unwelcome feelings were again brought up.

They [claim](https://www.thesun.co.uk/sport/1382757/real-madrid-eye-35million-raid-on-tottenham-for-goalkeeper-hugo-lloris/) that *Los Blancos* are plotting a shock raid once more, this time for goalkeeper Hugo Lloris.

The Frenchman is currently away at EURO 2016 with France and legendary compatriot Zinedine Zidane is [said](https://www.thesun.co.uk/sport/1382757/real-madrid-eye-35million-raid-on-tottenham-for-goalkeeper-hugo-lloris/) to be a keen admirer of the 29-year old.

Having missed out on David De Gea last season, the Champions League winners are said to be ready to hunt for a new stalwart between the sticks in the Premier League once more, despite the excellent form of Keylor Navas in the Spanish capital.

**Can Spurs really afford to Lloris at all? How many TT pints must they have downed to even consider it?**
