# Real Madrid reportedly ready to make £50m Tottenham star a summer priority

**Though many of them feel as if they didn’t quite deserve it, the Tottenham Hotspur fans in the Transfer Tavern believe their comeback against Manchester City is just another sign they really are top contenders in the title race.**

Key to their challenge to win a first Premier League title is the form of Dele Alli, who once again got on the scoresheet at the Etihad and, after a relatively slow start to the campaign, is looking increasingly like a player destined for the very top of European football.

Which is why reports from the [Daily Express](https://www.express.co.uk/sport/football/757168/Tottenham-Exclusive-Real-Madrid-to-go-all-out-sign-Dele-Alli-Premier-League-News-Gossip) have been met as thoroughly unwelcome ones. They [claimed](https://www.express.co.uk/sport/football/757168/Tottenham-Exclusive-Real-Madrid-to-go-all-out-sign-Dele-Alli-Premier-League-News-Gossip) members of the European elite are all happy to shell out around [£50m](https://www.express.co.uk/sport/football/757168/Tottenham-Exclusive-Real-Madrid-to-go-all-out-sign-Dele-Alli-Premier-League-News-Gossip) to lure the 20-year-old from White Hart Lane, with Paris Saint-Germain and Real Madrid [thought](https://www.express.co.uk/sport/football/757168/Tottenham-Exclusive-Real-Madrid-to-go-all-out-sign-Dele-Alli-Premier-League-News-Gossip) to be amongst the frontrunners.

*Los Blancos* are currently serving a transfer ban but are [said](https://www.express.co.uk/sport/football/757168/Tottenham-Exclusive-Real-Madrid-to-go-all-out-sign-Dele-Alli-Premier-League-News-Gossip) to have made the England international one of their top targets, though would [reportedly](https://www.express.co.uk/sport/football/757168/Tottenham-Exclusive-Real-Madrid-to-go-all-out-sign-Dele-Alli-Premier-League-News-Gossip) need to repair relations with the Lilywhites following the Gareth Bale saga in 2013.

Those in the Spanish capital are [reported](https://www.express.co.uk/sport/football/757168/Tottenham-Exclusive-Real-Madrid-to-go-all-out-sign-Dele-Alli-Premier-League-News-Gossip) to be aiming to construct a major reshuffle in the summer and the fear in north London is [believed](https://www.express.co.uk/sport/football/757168/Tottenham-Exclusive-Real-Madrid-to-go-all-out-sign-Dele-Alli-Premier-League-News-Gossip) to centre over whether or not Alli has his head turned, as Bale did prior to his move.
