# Refusing to sell Pogba can’t be good news for these 2 Man United youngsters

**With the Red Devils standing firm in keeping Paul Pogba at the club, some Manchester United youngsters hoping to get a look-in may be feeling slightly demoralised.**

[Even after a reported bust-up between the World Cup winner and Jose Mourinho](https://www.thesun.co.uk/sport/football/7029366/man-united-refuse-sell-pogba-mourinho/), Manchester United are refusing to sell their midfield star despite interest from Catalan giants Barcelona.

Mourinho is a manager becoming well-known for favouring senior players over young players. With a senior player the standard of Paul Pogba staying at the club, it becomes an even slimmer possibility that he will give young players a chance at the club with the World Cup winner still patrolling the midfield.

In particular, these two players, who are nearing an age where they will want first-team, will be particularly disappointed the Frenchman is staying…

## Scott McTominay

Now Paul Pogba is staying, the chances for the Scotsman to get regular football have somewhat diminished.

The 6ft 4 central midfielder is a genuine box-to-box midfielder, he has great energy, is tidy in the pass and breaks up play well.

Now 21-years-old, Lancaster-born McTominay needs first team football to really kick-on at Old Trafford.

## Angel Gomes

Angel Gomes is one of the most highly rated talents at Old Trafford.

The 17-year-old scored five goals in 12 appearances for the England under-17 side. The winger is full of pace and trickery.

With fellow England youth international Callum Hudson-Odoi coming through at Chelsea at the same age as Angel Gomes, the youngster will be enviously looking on hoping for a chance to prove himself at Old Trafford.
