# Report: Celtic in all sorts of bother with key figure potentially leaving

**Celtic fans here in the Tavern will be desperate for their side to enjoy success once again next season after dominating proceedings in the campaign just gone.**

Indeed, the Hoops have proven to be unstoppable in recent years as they continue to assert their dominance domestically, with Brendan Rodgers working wonders at Parkhead. However, it appears as if a Premier League club are looking to snatch a key figure away from Celtic, [as according to Sun Sport, Leicester City want Brendan Rodgers as a shock alternative to Claude Puel.](https://www.thesun.co.uk/sport/football/6491778/brendan-rodgers-leicester-city-celtic-claude-puel-replacement/)

Shockingly, it’s [believed](https://www.thesun.co.uk/sport/football/6491778/brendan-rodgers-leicester-city-celtic-claude-puel-replacement/) that Brendan Rodgers has emerged on Leicester City’s radar as a shock alternative to Claude Puel.

The Hoops boss ticks a lot of boxes with the Foxes, who have been thinking about a managerial change amid player unrest.

Of course, having came so close to securing the Premier League title during his Liverpool days, he would be ideal to secure Leicester City a European return.

**Landlord’s Verdict:**

Brendan Rodgers has established himself as a fan favourite during his time at Parkhead, but the latest report has put Celtic in all sorts of bother as they could lose their key man.

Indeed, it was previously [reported](https://www.telegraph.co.uk/football/2018/04/30/brendan-rodgers-admits-wants-premier-league-return-no-time/) that the former Liverpool boss admitted that he wanted a return to the Premier League – but no time soon, however, with Leicester City offering him the perfect opportunity to build a legacy and fight for a European place, perhaps Rodgers will potentially be looking at this as his best opportunity to return to the Premier League.
