# Everton: Fabrizio Romano drops latest Richarlison news

**Reliable journalist Fabrizio Romano has now shared the latest news on Richarlison’s proposed exit from [Everton](https://www.footballtransfertavern.com/everton-fc-news/).**

### **The Lowdown: Financial situation**

Whilst the Toffees are [reluctant to sell their star player](https://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/news/everton-richarlison-tottenham-transfer-price-27351813) this summer, especially with having narrowly avoided relegation last season, the Blues may still be forced into letting the Brazil international go.

The Merseyside outfit must [raise funds](https://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/news/everton-richarlison-tottenham-transfer-price-27351813) to balance their books in order to comply with the [Premier League](https://www.footballtransfertavern.com/premier-league-news/)’s profit and sustainability rules relating to debts.

So far, Everton have held strong on to their [£60m valuation](https://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/news/everton-richarlison-tottenham-transfer-price-27351813) of the 25-year-old.

### **The Latest: Romano’s update**

Romano has now shared the latest news on Richarlison’s transfer saga. Taking to [Twitter](https://twitter.com/FabrizioRomano/status/1542063571428851712), the journalist claimed:

“Tottenham are progressing in talks with Everton for Richarlison. Negotiations are already well advanced on personal terms, while discussions between clubs will continue this week.

“Winks has also been part of the talks – structure of the deal not agreed yet.”

### **The Verdict: Huge loss**

Whilst the winger was the Toffees’ [top scorer](https://www.espn.com/soccer/team/stats/_/id/368/scoring) in the league last season with ten goals, the Brazilian also contributed to other areas of the pitch.

When compared with positional peers across Europe over the past year, Richarlison ranks in the 99th percentile for blocks, in the 95th percentile for tackles and in the 93rd percentile for interceptions (via [FB Ref](https://fbref.com/en/players/fa031b34/Richarlison)).

This illustrates how much of an effect the 25-year-old has on Everton, leading the press from the front and never letting opponents breathe, especially at Goodison Park, where he is beloved for that very reason.

His departure would be a massive blow for the club.
