# Everton: Fans flock to Richarlison transfer update

**Lots of Everton fans have been flocking to a transfer update involving Richarlison.**

Speaking on his [Twitch](https://www.twitch.tv/fabrizioromano) channel (via [The Everton End](https://twitter.com/TheEvertonEnd/status/1413227787054456834)), Italian football journalist and transfer expert [Fabrizio Romano](https://twitter.com/FabrizioRomano) has claimed that there is ‘nothing’ between the Brazil international and Real Madrid, and Rafa Benitez is ‘convinced’ that the 24-year-old will remain on Merseyside for ‘at least one more season’.

This comes after a number of [reports](https://www.footballtransfertavern.com/everton-fc-transfer-rumours/richarlison-real-madrid-carlo-ancelotti/) have recently linked Richarlison with a move to the Bernabeu to reunite with former manager Carlo Ancelotti.

The Brazilian did not have a great 2020/21 season, scoring just [seven](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/richarlison/leistungsdatendetails/spieler/378710/plus/0?saison=2020&verein=&liga=&wettbewerb=GB1&pos=&trainer_id=) goals in the Premier League, and he was [criticised](https://www.footballtransfertavern.com/everton-fc-news/richarlison-aston-villa-premier-league/) by some Toffees supporters for a few of his performances. However, he remains a key player for Everton, scoring 42 times and supplying 10 assists in 119 matches in all competitions across the last three seasons for the club ([Transfermarkt](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/richarlison/leistungsdatendetails/spieler/378710/plus/0?saison=&verein=29&liga=&wettbewerb=&pos=&trainer_id=)).
