# Liverpool: Roberto Firmino offered to Galatasaray

**[Liverpool](https://www.footballtransfertavern.com/liverpool-fc-news/) striker Roberto Firmino has been offered to Galatasaray, according to reports.**

### The Lowdown: Uncertain future

The Brazilian’s deal at Anfield is set to [expire](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/fc-liverpool/vertragsende/verein/31) at the end of the season, meaning that he is already able to negotiate a pre-contract agreement with suitors outside of the [Premier League](https://www.footballtransfertavern.com/premier-league-news/).

The Reds forward has been heavily linked with Atletico Madrid, who [reportedly](https://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/news/liverpool-firmino-transfer-replacement-klopp-29235642.amp) view him as an ideal replacement for Joao Felix, who could complete a permanent move to Chelsea.

Speaking to [Sky Germany](https://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/liverpool-roberto-firmino-contract-update-29106950.amp), Roger Wittmann, the 31-year-old’s agent, stated that his client is in talks with [Jurgen Klopp](https://www.footballtransfertavern.com/tag/jurgen-klopp/) over an extension, though all might not be what it seems.

### The Latest: Galatasaray offered Firmino

### The Verdict: New deal deserved

Firmino has been [labelled](https://twitter.com/henrywinter/status/1580336028832833540?s=46&t=anwRHEQzr0wsvcG2mQrhGg) a ‘leader’ by journalist [Henry Winter](https://twitter.com/henrywinter) and Liverpool offering him fresh terms would be nothing less than he deserves.

The [Adidas-sponsored](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/roberto-firmino/profil/spieler/131789) star has clocked up [185](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/roberto-firmino/leistungsdatenverein/spieler/131789) goal contributions in 352 appearances and offers versatility having operated in [five](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/roberto-firmino/leistungsdatendetails/spieler/131789) different positions throughout his career.

The Maceio native also plays his part defensively, currently ranking in the [99th](https://fbref.com/en/players/4c370d81/Roberto-Firmino) percentile amongst forwards for most blocks and interceptions made per 90 minutes.

Firmino is one of the few faces who can impact the game on both sides of the ball, so the club need to tie him down before outside interest turns into something more serious.
