# Rodgers hints at big Celtic transfer

**Quoted by [The Daily Mail](https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-3880416/Celtic-boss-Brendan-Rodgers-believes-hold-Moussa-Dembele.html), Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers has conceded that striker Moussa Dembele could leave the club if a big enough money offer comes in for him, worrying our resident Bhoys fans here in the Transfer Tavern.**

The Hoops are flying in the SPL this season and are looking good to make it six titles in a row with the 20-year-old, a signing from Fulham in the summer, being a big factor behind that.

He scored a hat-trick in the Old Firm Derby against Rangers earlier this season, whilst he also scored in the Champions League twice against Manchester City in a 3-3 draw.

And it is those performances amongst others that, the report believes, has led to the likes of Manchester United being [linked](https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-3876588/Manchester-United-send-scout-watch-Celtic-hero-Moussa-Dembele-striker-nets-15th-goal-season.html) with the lethal forward.

Naturally, our resident Bhoys fans don’t want him to go but Rodgers [hinted](https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-3880416/Celtic-boss-Brendan-Rodgers-believes-hold-Moussa-Dembele.html) that if a big money offer came in, it may be hard for the striker to turn down.

“This is a very very hard club to leave as a player”, [said](https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-3880416/Celtic-boss-Brendan-Rodgers-believes-hold-Moussa-Dembele.html) the former Liverpool coach.

”But in any market, in any job or any role, if someone offers you 100 grand a week, and you’re on 40 grand a week, then you’re going to look at it.”
