5 Done & 3 More Due

Celtic boss Neil Lennon has already been busy in the transfer market by adding five names to his squad including Cardiff’s Joe Ledley and Mexican midfielder Efrain Juarez.

The Northern Irishman is not resting on his laurels, however, and has stated that he is on the lookout for more since returning from the club’s four game tour of the USA and Canada.

The Hoops look set to snap up Israeli international Biram Kayal after the 22-year-old admitted to turning down other more lucrative offers in favour of a move to Scotland. It is thought that Celtic would need to stump up £1.5m to secure the Maccabi Haifa midfielder’s services.

Celtic are also in the race to sign Scunthorpe hotshot Gary Hooper but have asked the Championship side to lower their £2m asking price. The striker banged in 19 league goals last season and has a year remaining on his contract at Glanford Park.

Lennon aims to talk to David James this week after the 39-year-old had his contract offer withdrawn by Portsmouth whilst he is also reportedly interested in bringing Stoke winger Liam Lawrence and Nottingham Forest defender Kelvin Wilson to Parkhead.
