Nottingham Forest secured their first victory yesterday as they beat Reading 1-0 at the City Ground after drawing their opening two games.
Forest spent big over the course of the summer as they drafted in a number of quality players in an attempt to push for promotion. Although, it looks as if one of their current first-team members is attracting interest, as according to the Scottish Sun, Hibernian and Aberdeen want to sign Zach Clough on loan.
Aberdeen and Hibernian could battle it out for Nottingham Forest striker Zach Clough.
Aitor Karanka is ready to send the youngster out on loan for game time and Derek McInnes and Neil Lennon are believed to be interested.
The forward hasn’t really found his feet since moving to the City Ground as he struggled for game time last season and won’t be a part of Karanka’s plans in the current campaign.
So, it looks as if Nottingham Forest will wave goodbye to Zach Clough at some point this summer as he goes on in search of regular first team football.
Indeed, Forest will be delighted to see the youngster go out on loan as he could really come on leaps and bounds and will develop in a tough Scottish Premiership division if he makes the move.
The Championship club have already drafted in the likes of Lewis Grabban and Hillal Soudani, so it’s fair to say that Clough is surplus to requirements.
