The Rangers fans in the Transfer Tavern have been reacting to a story from Record Sport that Kenny Miller will report to Ibrox today with the news that his Rangers career is over whilst club captain, Lee Wallace is to be suspended after the pair’s furious bust-up with manager, Graeme Murty. The duo were fuming with the way Murty handled the 4-0 Scottish Cup semi-final loss to their Old Firm rivals and made their feelings known in the dressing room after the game.

Whilst the Gers propping our bar up are still feeling raw from their humiliation at the hands of their greatest rivals, the embarrassment of having their club captain and club legend punished for reacting to the loss is just adding insult to injury. From a Rangers point of view, Sunday’s Old Firm was a must-win game as they looked to deny their noisy neighbours the chance to win a Scottish first back-to-back domestic treble. Now though, Brendan Rodgers’ side looks destined to go and secure their 5th and 6th pieces of silverware in the Scottish Premier League and Scottish Cup in just two years.
Our local Bluenoses’ will have to see out their final five league games without veteran Kenny Miller, who’s scored 103 goals for the club in 263 appearances over three separate spells with the Glasgow club. Meanwhile, it’s yet to be known how long Lee Wallace will be suspended for, although with nothing left to play for at Ibrox other than pride and a second-place finish, it’s hard to see how things can look much worse for our local Gers at the moment.

Shameful way to treat Wallace. One of the club's "New Pioneers"

In Smiths era this would have been seen as passion. Absolutely embarrassing.

Murty cannot manage his team, lost the dressing room, so they kick out a goal getting hero. Comedy Gold.
Can't wait for the next episode.

I’m no Rangers fan but is it only me who wondered how a player can be used one week and score in the process but remain on the bench against Celtic even when they needed a goal ? No wonder he had a go with the manager at the end. Obviously truth hurts

I wonder what Miller’s wife has to say about it, Twitter is always a good place for her to rant
