The Bluenoses are a force to be reckoned with in Europe, but they’ve let themselves down domestically and yesterday’s result against Livingston certainly didn’t help their cause. Although, one of Rangers’ star men suffered an international setback recently, as according to the Daily Record, Alfredo Morelos has been cut from the Colombia squad.
Alfredo Morelos has been cut from the Colombia squad after just one cap.
Indeed, the striker was ecstatic at his call-up for the South American country after his scoring form in Glasgow.
And, he made his debut as a sub against Venezuela in a friendly in America where he missed an open goal, but was an unused sub in their next game against Argentina.
However, he’s not been included in the Colombians’ 24-man squad for their friendlies later this month against the United States and Costa Rica.
Alfredo Morelos has been Rangers’ standout performer in the current campaign and definitely deserves another shot in the Colombian national side, but it looks as if he will have to wait.
Indeed, the South American will now be focused on grinding out positive results for the Glasgow side as they chase down silverware, with consistent performances hopefully rewarding him with a call-up.
